During the months of September and October, amateur chefs are invited to submit their favorite recipes featuring locally-available fall produce. Members of the FoodieLink community will have a chance to vote for their top picks. The contestants who submit the 15 most popular recipes, as voted on by our community, will be invited to bring their dishes to a live-judging pot luck dinner on November 10th featuring Bravo Top Chef Andrea Beaman and other professional chefs, who will evaluate them and decide on the winners. All recipe entries and votes must be submitted by no later than Sunday, October 31st, 2010 at 10.00pm EST in order to be eligible for this contest.

Prizes will be awarded for the top three “Best Recipe” overall as well as one prize each for the “Healthiest Recipe,” “Most Delicious Recipe,” and “Easiest to Prepare Recipe,” as determined by the judges. In addition to being a contest judge, Andrea Beaman has kindly supplied copies of her books as awards for each of the finalists. Other prizes for the winning categories will include subscriptions to Edible Magazine among other items.

To enter this contest, go the the "Recipes" section of this website. You will also need to register on the FoodieLink site as a user in order to submit your entry or cast your vote. You will be asked to confirm that your submission is an original recipe. If it is not, you may still send it in for consideration for the contest, but you must also attribute it to its original source by filling in the "Attribution" field. We believe in giving credit where it is due and think that all the hard-working recipe developers and cookbook authors would like to have their work recognized appropriately, too.

Here's to hearing about your favorite fall dishes!

    Hello Ally,

Good question. I am sure there will be a outdoor kitchen of some sort to make that happen. I'll try to confirm this. Keep you posted!

    Thanks for all the details!
If we are cooking right there, are we still starting at 6:30 or do we arrive earlier?

Hi - winners of the contest most who I have already contacted. I will post and email out the information for the event tomorrow. 6:30pm on 11/10 and 444 East 86th Street 3F. Best if the winners can bring their dish pre-cooked as I only have one kitchen! it can be heated up though.

    Hi Mark,
I don't think any of us have gotten your updates...
Can you give us information on how many people we are cooking for?
